This policy covers the Amazing Sections website and the Amazing Sections app installed on online stores. It is written to meet common App Store listing requirements (clear privacy URL, data purpose, retention, and contact).
1. Who we are
Amazing Sections (“we”, “us”) provides a theme-section app and this website. Support email: contact@amazingsections.com.
2. Scope
This policy explains what information we process when you visit amazingsections.com or install and use the Amazing Sections app through the platform admin.
3. Information we process
- Account & shop identifiers: shop domain, installation identifiers, and OAuth/session tokens required to run the embedded app.
- App preferences: settings you choose in the app (for example UI language).
- Storefront analysis data: when you submit a public storefront URL, we fetch publicly available pages (HTML, meta tags, images, visible copy, and detected brand colors) to build a store profile used to prefill section content.
- Admin API data (with granted scopes): limited product and theme information (for example product titles/images and published theme color settings) to improve personalization when access is approved.
- Subscription status: plan/trial status provided by the platform’s billing system so we can enable or restrict paid features.
- Technical logs: basic operational logs (timestamps, success/failure of analysis requests) used for reliability and abuse prevention (rate limits).
- Website: standard server/CDN request logs from our hosting provider. We do not intentionally collect buyer personal data through this marketing website.
4. How we use information
- Provide, secure, and improve the app and website
- Authenticate the merchant session and load the embedded admin UI
- Personalize theme sections from the store profile
- Enforce subscription / free-trial access
- Respond to support requests
- Comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse
We do not sell personal data. We do not use store data to build advertising audiences unrelated to providing the app.
5. Legal bases (EEA/UK where applicable)
Depending on your location, we rely on performance of a contract (providing the app), legitimate interests (security, product improvement), and/or consent where required.
6. Sharing
We share data only with processors needed to operate the service, for example:
- Cloud hosting and database providers for the app backend
- Firebase Hosting / Google for this website
- The commerce platform (for OAuth, Admin API, and billing)
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and security.
7. International transfers
Infrastructure may be located outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards offered by our providers.
8. Retention
We keep shop profile and preference data while the app is installed and as needed to provide the service. After uninstall, session data is removed and we aim to delete or anonymize remaining shop-linked records within a reasonable period, unless longer retention is required for legal, security, or billing disputes. Analysis rate-limit logs are kept for short operational windows.
9. Security
We use HTTPS, access controls, and provider security features. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
10. Your rights
Depending on your region, you may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal data, or object to certain processing. Contact contact@amazingsections.com. You may also uninstall the app from your store admin.
11. Children
The service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy where permitted by law.
